Mark Haase said it was a cheap bulb issue and he was right. The new Sylvania H-4 even though it was 60 hi beam 55 low beam performed flawlessly at speeds up to 80 MPH, roughly 6000 in 6th. I kept it below 6500 since I wasn't sure if it was a vibration or over charging issue per the Blingmaster. The 60 watt hi beam lights up the road and the 55w low beam is plenty bright enough. No low voltage issues were encountered as far as I know. I ran 61 miles mostly between 70 and 80 MPH in 6th on the interstate. When I got 5 miles from home I figured the chance for both to fail was minimal so I let it rip once I got out of town and did a couple nice wheelies in the 53 degree air and ran it up to 9500 in the 1st three gears. Made it home safe and hopefully the headlight will keep working

thanks to all...
Put a led tail/brake light in and order some led instrument lamps if you intend to run the 55 watt lamp. Be sure to keep the high beam off as well. The 55 watt head lamp will tax the coil and the connectors. My Daytona will dropped the battery voltage too low if I run the 60 watt high beam head lamp. It has two tail lamps which I have replaced with led's.
I usually forget to turn on the 350's head light on purpose if I'm in a low traffic area and I installed a toggle switch in the Dayton's head light bucket to turn off it's head lamp just in case I need some extra electromotive force for ignition like in long traffic light stops when I'm at idle alot.
There are too many deer around here for me to ride much after dark. A few years ago we (my fire department and I) worked an incident where a Goldwing rider was taken out by a deer one night. I had to go back the next morning with detergent and a push broom to clean the pavement off. I get the willy's ridding after or just before dark ever since that incident.
