Ha, I used an extra pair of turn signal mounts to mount some quartz-halogen driving lights as headlights on my H2 around 1979. I extended the brackets on the lights instead of modifying the turn signal mounts, and mounted one light on the ones that were holding the signals, and the other light on the added pair.

I like your work, Cody. :D

Cody, its coming along very nice. I like the way the head lamp is tucked in tight.
one question:- why is the front mudgaurd so far away from the tire dirt bike style

 Good eye. That won't be its final spot (it'll be a closer to tire). Both front and rear fenders in these pics are in "mockup" mode.. I just wanted to get an idea of what they would look like.
Front fender has a piece of black foam (you can see it in a few of the pics if you look closely) JAMMED between it and the tire holding it tight to the bottom of the fork brace. Rear fender is just sitting there.

id run a fiberglass or plastic small fender that hugs the wheel / tire and is a bit longer. since with the fork brace you dont need to run a metal one. and, no offense, those trimmed stock fenders to me always look like ass. even if it was made for that bike on an english wheel or whatever, still looks like a trimmed stock fender. just my .02.

Never any offense taken man!! That's the thing about doing a custom. Its a personal thing..and I always appreciate the input and suggestions!

Ive got a pile of plastic and fiberglass fenders...I tried them all and dont like any of them. Even the one that I bought last year planning on using it (because it has a similar profile to the top of the tank) looks dumb to me right now. Too modern.

I think a cut off stock fender can look good if done right.....especially a simple stainless fender like this. Plus it goes with the "theme" ( ) of an early H1..

I chopped 6" (2" front/4" rear) out of this one and I think it turned out cool..

I do agree that it should hug the wheel and that it could be just a "titch" longer (mostly in the rear). Unfortunately, I shipped my only spare early H1 front fender to Zambia last week.. Probably best as I would have butchered it and that would have meant one less in the world..
