Today they were running the Moto GP Race at Laguna seca track in Monterey.
Well today was bike night and it couldnt have been more fun for Darrin and I !!!We were the west coast triple representatives and wow were they a hit.Last Time I came there I got a ticket as some but hole cop saw me doing a wheelie up the hill at the conclusion of the event. I said I would not go back but man Im glad I did. We first went riding around on the coast road down to Carmel then back up through Pacific Grove. They close off the street eventually at 3 to cars and only bikes and foot traffic, allowed. Im gonna guess maybe 1500 Motorcycles? Probably 10,000 people after the race got out and sadly only TWO triples. They werent the nicest triples but boy were they a conversation piece. As you know every knows something about these, and I love to talk story with these guys. I could hear lots of folks. No brakes but crazy fast, spaghetti frame, middle cyl burns up too soon? All the wives tales. At the end of the day I had fun with Darrin hanging out and my bike got ultra respect from so many people. They were older folks gawking about, but when I started it /several times around came the Busa/R1/Gxsr/CBR /Ducati/Harley riders and the like and they loved the sound and smell. Darrin showing off the original Hooligan Bike.
A well behaved crowd. No fights or loud jerks etc. Lots of law enforcement but? They did tow a Van for not clearing and that was entertaining between a ton of bikes. Ill will def be there for next year!! Think Ill take the Trophy 69 H1.

Stayed in Hollister Friday, forgot to bring a jacket, Target had none, on the way to KMart noticed a Good Will, and picked up this grey leather for $14.99 out the door. Fit perfect and kept me nice and warm all day!

What a character! Ocean waves of the pacific makes for a perfect backdrop!

The seated lady in pink leathers owned this crowd pleasing pink Kawasaki, painted by the boyfriend standing next to her, who also owned and painted the green Suzuki next to it.

Easily the 4 best crowd gatherers on the entire street I'd say!

Wow ! Guys your bikes are looking very good! Darrin, I like the trunk set up- you have a very clean looking H2 there. Dave- are those Highwaymen Pipes?? Your 70 H1 is looking familiar- similar to mine. Regretting that I wasn't there- looks like you guys had a great time!

Yes Tim those are the pipes Jeff made in Stainless. I had no less than 20 people ask if they were Chrome Dencos?
A fun time this year, lots of nice people around.

Sturdy EMGO box on an oem 74-75 H2 rack easily holds a full-face helmet and misc...a little bulky looking, but who cares, it's functional! You have to show up next year Tim - your Avenger will be a hit!
