From Lane's wife Suzanne...

Lane wants to come home. He is talking and telling stories. He is doing well with eating and has graduated to a regular diet. He doesn't hesitate to drink a milk shake from sonic when I bring one after work. His walking and other specific tasks are a little slower to come for him. He does have a discharge date of 10/10 to home. I'm hopeful that he will attain all the goals we have set for him. I know he will be happier there. Thanks for thinking of him.❤️

Wow... I didn't realize how long he'd have to stay at the hospital working on his recovery. I'm certainly rooting for him, and best wishes to him and Suzanne. In any case, thanks as usual for the update, Jeff.

I spoke with Lane on the phone on Saturday. He's still in the rehab, but doing well. Speaking with him, he sounds really good and he can't wait to get home.
