Mike, John has been one or the mainstays for the Deals Gap meet's and he also has done a series of video's about the Gap meets. I like to watch them to get excited about the meets. If you haven't seen them its called Old Folks on 2 Strokes! on you tube.

I talked with John yesterday, briefly.
He is in the hospital. He had some lymph nodes removed and had one of his vocal cords repaired. (He can no longer sing “Simple Man”)
He expects to be in the hospital about another week.
Initial tests showed no signs of cancer.
