yes, that was the fat spot. I had the right side head off and measured that bore as well.
it also had an L ring piston.

I might be able to get away with a ball hone and new pistons. I''ll have to pull all three and take a good look
at them

well according to wiseco there piston is 2.8316

2.8346-2.8316=0.003", so Wiseco I guess Wiseco is recommending three thou clearance, where Wössner recommends 0.0027". Pretty close to the same.

I cant believe what a difference that is to the old ones.
If I can find rings for the old pistons I could always use them
in this other set of cylinders. They are 20 over now and need to be bored

I think wiseco are 30 thousands unless the older are different and I asked about putting wossners in mine when they came out and was told no rebore was neccessary as long as it's a fresh bore

The older wisecos are smaller. I called wiseco and got the spec on the new ones.
I had a box of old pistons for yamaha free airs and there was an old wiseco
that was way smaller than a new one so it didnt come as a complete surprise.

I didnt pull the center head yet but if the cylinder is in good shape I will hone um up
and put the new wisecos in there.
