And if you need too the front sprocket can be flipped so any built in spacer/required washers faces out. You may have to mod the clutch release screw/lock nut to get chain clearance of the release...There is lots of variables to be tried to get the running alignment good.

Just be sure whatever combo you come up with the retaining nut does not bottom and tighten up on the ends of the splines, hence leaving the sprocket loose on the shaft...

I used a drilled 6mm Allen head capscrew (with the big clutch washer notched to fit) and a corner drilled main nut ,with .032 lockwire, for a positive lock. Blue locktite was used too.

Jeez, It ain't rocket science guys! :roll: Do the initial setup using a straight edge or taught line (wheels aligned) and check/readjust alignment after running... :)

Since I screwed up this thread with useless info here is something related that may help determine step sizes:
Standard 520 root tooth thickness = 0.227"
Standard 530 root tooth thickness = 0.343"
