"Chainguard" is the correct answer.

Can you make out what is different about it? (You can tell from the photos, but you have to look close)...and then answer "why" it is different.

I have a guess as to "why", but forgot to ask Tony last time I talked to him if my hunch was correct...

and Jim, the Big Bike/Tony N top triple and bar clamps are still black.

Your bike might have been ordered by a customer with a few extra bells and whistles. All the more "cool".

You're really making them work for this aren't you. Once you have a winner I'll post a picture showing why. For those of you still working on this you'll find the answer to be "shocking".

Oh now, not more of this. I can¨t get it out of my head :banghead

Ok. Wider rims/tyres is the reason for modifying the chainguard?
Bo.
Too obvious, and not shocking as Jim sayd.

Ok, next shot:
Maybe rear sprocket is bigger due to a lot more peaky engine than stock? Then maybe the chainguard had to be modified to get a good look?

No?

Thought so.

Maybe they decided to put on 1 extra link on the chain to get the rear wheel in the most aft position in swinger? Then maybe a stretch, or another curve is made at the chain guard to make it look good???? Maybe they did that due to putting on a 14 tooth front sprocket?

No?

Oh crap. Gotta do something else now

So..I went with the H2b seat cover from Pit-Replica. Took a couple of weeks to get here from Thailand.

If I were to critique the cover, I would say that it is "serviceable" (7 out of 10)....and ONLY because I had shaved 1" of height out of the foam to give it more of a "hotrod" look (similar to original CR90, but minus the "step" as this step requires the cover to be disassembled and modified).

If a guy had a stock height foam or God Forbid, someone's reproduction H2b foam (which I always find to be more "puffy" and larger than an original), there is NO WAY this cover would have fit as it has a hemmed edge...and with the single-row stitching, would have pulled apart...even when using heat and a careful/even pull. The other thing I don't like is the single-stitch sewn rear seam that runs lengthwise on the rear panel. Original covers are "heat welded", and good quality covers are double stitched and MUCH stronger. You have to be VERY careful not to over-stretch this area as it will tear.
Been there, got the t-shirt (from other covers)

I've now upholstered enough triple seats to know it is usually a "fight" if you want it to look good in the end. As long as the cover is sized and sewn properly, Early H1 seats and early H2 seats are actually not that bad.

H2b's?....not so easy  I've got more hours than I care to admit into getting it to this point without ruining anything.

In the end, I guess I win.... Even after stretching it as much as I dared, there are still a few issues that will be "heated out" once I let the cover relax a bit. The SS trims will help as well. Yeah, I know...CR90 had no trims..... :e11

As she sits...

Cockpit nearly complete

Still have to repaint throttle side switch pod and hook up the rest of the cables...

Don Fulsang rebuilt the gauges.. He does a superb job, and as always, I couldn't be happier with them.

and a shot of the new "parts runner". (purchased for the cost of a Kawasaki Dual Disc brake system )
Cool thing is that I'm pretty sure a guy can fit 2 fully assembled H2 engines in the trunk(s).
But, other than the "storage" and "comfort", this is the MOST BORING MOTORCYCLE that I have ever ridden..... Ever Ever Ever. I almost fell asleep (too smooth, too quiet, too "Honda") on it's maiden voyage.....

and as an extra special bonus, it looks like pearl metallic bathroom urinal.

Congratulations on the Pacific Coast, Cody. As we get older, our tastes do change.
