um... 1157 bulbs are far more powerful than 8w when the brake is on... with the brake on its actually 8 + 21 = 29!

i just made sure the stock system was in good shape. theres loss in th econnectors and mis adjustment of the regulator.
fwiw instrument bulbs are between 3-5 watts each. so, 4 X 3 = 12 and add 8 = 20. 60 watt halogen - 20 = 40 watt. thats only 5 w more thana stock system. it will work just fine. remove the indicator bulbs with led's and you save another 3 watts.

i never had a problem to be honest. evenbtually the regualtor went and i experiemnted with a ford voltage regulator, it was fine that way too, even better actually.

but i have used the 35 watt halogens in other bikes, they wrok fonr also. cant really tell the difference between them and the 60 watters.

Did some carb bead blasting today , almost done with them. I will be at the House of Haase next Sunday with all my parts and we will have a runner when we are done :D
Took the seat out for a little time in the sun:

6 days to finish the rest, still have to change the fork oil in my forks and do a thorough clean of the carbs. I also have to rebuild the petcock on my parts bike tank for the initial run up. The tank on the bike will get cleaned and Caswell coated before the Gap.

No GB update for me, I've been involved at my church all weekend. May not get to do any wrenching next weekend either. It's my wife and I's 40th. The RD I'm restoring is also 40. I bet my wife wishes I could be restored! :D

I wish I was born in 73. I mean that's 40 years of marriage. We used go on dates in high school on my 1967 Avenger :D

I do not have the fitting you need.
