Greetings,

Starting to gather parts and pieces for an H2 custom project for the winter. Will be counting on a lot of help from you guys.

At the moment I am shopping for a front end to swap in - I have found threads here and elsewhere about swapping in GSXR front ends and I have a line on a nice complete one from a 05.

The question is this: I know that ANYTHING can be grafted to anything else, given enough skill and custom fabrication ability, but lacking great quantities of either, which front ends are known to go onto an H2 with the least Pain?

And more specifically, would anyone venture an opinion on the suitability of a 2004-2005 GSXR 600/750 front end?

Thanks in advance,

N.

The Easiest way is the just remove the stem from the stock triple tree and adapt to the new triples.

Noble-
...I remember someone doing a GSXR front end and I think they just had to change out the bearings/races to a new size to make it fit?
I fitted a F2 front end on my H1 a while back by using the method that Moo suggested above.
Pressed out the F2 stem, pressed and welded in the H1 stem to the F2 triples. Worked like a charm....just didn't like it in the end, so changed it back. :shifty:
Pretty sure that trick would work with any front end ?

Thank you guys, much appreciated. I scored a great deal on an entire front end from (of all places) eBay:

About $415, shipped.

Yogi, your bike is awesome, and similar to what I want to do, although I'm going with a twin shock rear. I would love to pick your brain or read about your build. Is there a thread somewhere that details what you did? And for starters, is that a stock H2 frame, and if so, did you brace it? Great bike.

N.

P.S. Are you really running those carbs with no filters!!?? :wtf: Or was this just a build/beauty shot...

Yes I run it without filters sometimes

Firstly is the small finishing touches that make a bike, also they are the bits that take the longest to do
There was a thread on RB's site but was everything was lost when it went down a few years ago, its a standard 1972 frame no bracing they don't need it IMHO, handles like a dream, even a standard bike handles well with modern tyres on

Here are some build photos and if you have any questions ask away dude

Very cool, Yogi. :) That's a really clean looking seat, who might have done that for you?
