are the 1976 kh400 wheels interchangeable with a similar age h1 .
axle dias and tripple tree widths.

I "believe" the axles are a smaller diameter.......

Triple tree widths may be the same, but H1 fork tubes I believe are 1-2mm larger diameter, if I'm not mistaken. Also, all the 400's came from the factory with an 18" front wheel, while the 500's always used a 19". I also thought that someone stated that the earlier 74-75 S3's had some differences in axle measurements compared to the 76-later KH400's, so it'd probably be best and hassle-free to stick with KH400 parts. :think:
