ahhh.... "the bolt"

Rarely, if ever, does anybody go into my garage unless I am there, so I feel comfortable jigging stuff up semi-precariously..

So in order to keep the forks vertical (so I can work on the front fender) while the front wheel is clamped in the lift-vise, I just ran a couple of bolts through the rotor with foam pads against either side of the fork lower. Its a little loosey-goosey, but who cares? Nobody will bump it but me right?

So my father-in-law stops by a couple of days ago to borrow some tile-tools, Vaughn (007monkey) and I were mounting a mx tire on a cr125 rim so our hands were full (It was a PAIN IN THE REAR)

Wouldn't you know it, but my father-in-law walks right over to the forks and starts to ROCK THEM BACK AND FORTH   Just like something a curious little kid would do!

I think I actually almost yelled at him like I would have yelled at my 7 year old

"NO, DONT DO THAT!!!!".....

Nice, Cody. If I didn't have the Lesters, I'd certainly be doing black rims and spokes like that.

The topic is around here somewhere, but I think that "Phase I" was welding the motor adapter plates and a small discussion on if frame bracing was needed.

well guys...
the only progress to report is that all of the parts are about to be boxed up and put into semi-long-term storage. Unfortunately, there will be no bike work until at least this winter, or maybe longer?

Lots of "real life stuff" going on right now. No time for fun.

Thanks for the interest though. I promise to keep everyone up to date when work gets back underway.

Well boys and girls, its been 5 months since my last post on this project...and about that long since I put all the pieces in long-term storage. Ya see, when we put our house on the market, part of the criteria was to make the garage look larger. My "crap" took up about 2 cars worth of space.
I then proceeded to pack up the majority of the motorcycle parts and projects and move them into storage.
Long-story-short... House off market for winter. Garage back to "Normal", and I am back in WINTER PROJECT MODE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Specifically the Hybrid. 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-)

Updates Soon to follow.
