No corn or tobacco here, but plenty of vines and wineries - you have any winding hills roads over there Jim? We have a lot of "Deals Gap" type roads here - pretty lucky, really.

Not many. Lots of nice countryside, but not much winding, and hills are barely "rolling". If you want curves like Deal's Gap, you have to find a curvy place and go back and forth over it.

We can probably ride 12 months out of the year, it's only the rain we get, but our roads are very slippery, don't have the grip like Deals Gap. So bikers, cagers or bicyclist, do tend to pop their tails a lot!

When I moved here to Northern Nevada, it rained a little between 2:00 and 3:00 every day. I asked my neighbor if we had 4 seasons. His reply: "We have two seasons, WINTER, and....August". So far, he's been right on, he's a native here.

Best riding is Oct through to March down here - able to get out most weekends. However, we are still sneaking the odd ride in now and we are just past the shortest day. Tho it is cold riding now.

I almost moved to Ch-Church some decades ago, GREAT place, fantastic people, and, in the spring, you can still snow ski in the morning, and later in the day, surf.
