F.Y.I. these significantly reduce clutch pull weight. I was amazed at the difference. I got mine, for an H2, from Jessbikes (ebay). They're supposed to have a teflon jacket and whatnot. Whatever it is, its works short of a hydraulic setup. I had a new one previously (that broke after 1 year) and the difference is huge

I have one on order for my H2 as I type since the Kaw cable is NLA. I have had good luck with MP proucts in the past as well and they have normally been at a more attractive price point.

I have MP on all the dirt bikes so yes, very good cables. I've never broken one but I did wear out the one on the 426.

What I can't believe is how stiff my clutch pull is. From what I have read I am not the only one. It is hard to believe Kawasaki could sell a bike with a clutch like this so they could not have been this bad from the factory, could they?

^ No, they weren't that bad, there is always a reason if they are too stiff - cable routing, clutch adjustment, wrong or bad springs, lubrication, etc. Pull on a H2 is about the same as on my ZX10r, which is to say not light, but not heavy either!! (Some of thewimpy guys have converted to a hydraulic clutch.)

There used to be a compound called "Dri-Slide", had molybdenum in it, came in a can, with a metal insert tube, went in as a liquid, emulsified and dried into a solid dry moly coating. Best thing for any cable I ever used, lined cable or not.

We still use dri-slide" at work, great stuff !. Along with about 100 other kinds of aerosols.

Cracked nylon/plastic worms are very hard to see without taking them apart and can hugely increase the effort at the lever.
Kawasaki OEM nylon covered inner cables can swell when they react with oil causing friction between the inner and outer cables.
