Hi Guys,

the following story happens to me last time.
Sometimes ago I posted a search advertisment on Brad's Bike Side, that I'm looking for Kawasaki W models and parts.
A guy, his name is David Blau offers me a W2SS in good running condition, not original but the package included with
shipping to Germany was okay for me. The guy told me that he had a lot of experience in shipping. He send me some
pictures of the bike and it was okay for this money. I send him the money 3.300 USD (bike & shipping) and suddenly he
send me an email that there are some problems with the shipping and that he needs 1450 USD more for the shipping.
I told him that was not our deal and we should cancell it. He agreed, but when he should send the money back he
said money is gone for anything else, but he has a new customer for the bike and when he will pay it i will get my money
back. From week to week he has other stories and now he doens't answer of anything. So now I have to see what I can do.
I'm looking for a lawyer and try to get in touch with the police of East Brunswick NJ where he picks up the money.
The mail address of David Blau is lancollectoors@postino.net
So please take care of this guy if you come over this name David Blau or his mail address.
Sad story and the first time that a USA guy cheated me so badly.
If you have any experience in this case what I could do please let me know, or someone comes from NJ and has some connections to a police department or a lawyer please let me know.

Best Regards
Ralf Gille

Man, I'm really sorry about your issue. A quick search of his email shows up in a a couple variations including here where a guy wante to buy a turntable....http://www.vinylengine.com/turntable_forum/viewtopic.php?p=288320

"Hello all,
I recently put an ad online and I had constant replies from people trying to sell me a record deck.
Funny enough all the pictures they sent me were one's which had recently sold on ebay. Even though I was looking for a Rotel one even sent me a picture of a Torrens 160 with a Rotel rp 3000 arm.
I'll name all the email here so people can be aware:
jesus verela je.verelagmail.com
James Wood jmsws4gmail.com
lan collector lancollector@postino.net
johnwilson3874gmail.com
There were a few more but I have deleted the emails. Once I asked for a picture with a piece of paper with their email address and today's date one got insulted and the other didn't reply. Or just ignored and carried on trying to sell.
Best Regards,
MeSirKG"

The phone for East Brunswick PD is 732-390-6900

And I would ask for this guy in the photo...he looks like he can handle it

I hope it gets squared away.....maybe someone closer to the area can help out.

That's not just a rip-off. Those dudes are professionals. It reeks of Nigerian scams.

What a bastard.

May I suggest that if you get offers from an unknown person, not in your native language you enlist the help of a native speaker?
I'm sure there are many on every forum that would be more than willing to help.
I know its too late now on this deal - but you or others may benefit by running future deals past some else.

Ralf, sorry to hear :e4 I know it's too late now but THIS BOARD IS GREAT. I wouldn't send any money to anyone without checking first, my recent purchases from U.S. went fine - I sent a pm to a board member here before finalizing the deal and the seller was (and is) a very respected person and everything was as agreed. Without this board and its members it would be impossible to get the confidence or any background checking. Ebay - not for me.
This is btw the reason I never deal with south European countries, never trust them and how you can verify the people you are dealing with?
