Who the h*ll are you guys putting in office up there ?

Actually, that may have a lot to do with the stricter rules these days. Maybe there were too many bogus titles showing up?

For the right price I could arrange the purchase of several bikes in MI and then run up there with a U-Haul and bring them back to Indy. I can get a clean bike titled here in about a day (plus a week for the title to come in the mail) with police inspection.

Based on what is going on in other states I suspect that the rules will be changing everywhere. My advice is if you are in a state where you can easily get titles for your bikes, you better do it while you can.

For those of you already in MI with untitled bikes - the cheapest thing for you to do is to pack up and move to Indiana. :D

Governing to the lowest common denominator removes freedom and liberty from the those who do the right thing and play fair. If there are criminals at large put your money (and vote) into law enforcement, not currupt politicians who seek money and power through control of the masses.

Politicians are suppose to serve us (those who do the right thing and play fair) not the other way around.

I totally agree, but that doesn't change our current situation here.

I'll most likely be traveling to Indy on March 17 for the Supercross. Maybe I can "sell" my S2A to you then. :shh: :shh:

Will do.

Going through step 1 of the process now. My next door neighbor is the police chief of a local town and I've asked him to check the VIN to see if it's clean.

tell me how you do. Surety Bonds is the cheapest i found. And the value estimate is a real issue. If the issuing agent thinks your estimate of 2000 is wrong and its worth 2001, you lose and start all over forfeiting the bond. there is a dozen ways to fail from what i see. I am hoping i can get this situatioin fixed, and now this is a major issue here.

So how can MI refuse to transfer an out of state registration that's already in your name into a MI title? Sounds illegal to me. Remember, if you go the VT route the registration is already IN YOUR NAME i.e. you already own the vehicle. MD initially pushed back when I went the VT route. I made them crack open their books and since it was in my name already they didn't have a choice.
