Hey guys and gals, I've been truly blessed all these years with no carb issues on any of my triples, I have a new rebuilt motor with Wirges chambers, It's not running right as it seems to be very anti responsive, I'm running 100 main jet with 35 pilot on the middle clip. Im thinking these windowed carbs are toast.
Can I run the KA1 carbs??? Like I said Im no expert on carbs. PLEASE HELP.

Need more information please. What makes you think it's a carb issue? What does anti-responsive mean (like slow to rev, bogs etc). Ignition, timing, what does a plug chop look like? Engine rebuild - what are the details on that, what did it run like before? Really need more details.

The only internal differences in 500 carbs are jets and throttle cutaway... so, yes you can use any 500 carb as long as jetting is done appropriately.
Stock pilot is #30.
Before you decide to toss current carbs be sure to properly clean them & jets. Run a fine wire thru all passages. It is very unlikely the carb body is causing your problems. https://kawatriple.com/manuals/carbtune/carbtune.htm
Wirges chambers are the worst ones out there. They have an internal baffle that is prone to clog and the only way to clean them is to cut them open. Even new Wirges provided little performance increase over stock pipes. Investing in new chambers would be more appropriate than to put money in new carbs.

Agreed that if they're the baffled Wirges chambers, that could cause the problem, but there are two versions of Wirges chambers. The early ones had a shorter belly section and no internal baffle. If the belly section is the same length as the ones on Denco chambers, about 6-1/2", they're the early type with no internal baffles. If the belly section is much longer... maybe like 9" if I remember right, then they're the troublemakers.

90% of the time it's the right pipe that clogs due to leaky crank seals :)

You said the magic word for "cannot tune it"....WIRGES. Bill made some very shaky pipe designs, for sure.
