I don't think that Spraymax will yellow. It's a real automotive 2-part paint. It's also completely oil and gasoline resistant. I've painted a couple motorcycles with it. But I'd have to ask Spraymax if it will stick to bare aluminum. That's typically pretty difficult to get paint to stick to long-term.

Done properly, and cured properly, a modern 2-pack clear will work well and not yellow. A lot of people don't do it properly. Done properly, adhesion shouldn't be an issue. Bit of a theme developing here...! :)

Have a few of the professionally painted black parts back. Shop utilizes Glasurit paint, top of the line.
Painter is working hard to get the Blue color correct on main panels. It's not an easy thing to do, and the painter has spent hours of his personal time researching. He has to go outside his usual Glasurit paint for this, and says he will have a few spray outs to compare in a week or so.
Painted parts in basement and outside. Hard to photograph how nice they look with my phone.

Had time to lace up the rims. Hope to get time to true them up in next couple of days.
Drum brakes and wheel bearings cleaned and greased.

Rims are trued up and waiting for tires.
Body parts are painted and waiting for wet sand and polish. Just a quick shot inside paint booth.
Color looks great in sunlight. The painter really got into the project, spent a lot of time finding the right paint and making the fixtures to hold the parts.
He did say he has no time or interest in doing another motorcycle though.

Priceless, and worth it. Parts were polished this morning, and he had me pick them up ASAP so no damage could happen in the shop.
Owner and Painter are great people, and I am grateful they took the time to do this.
Weather is gloomy out, but a couple of pics with different lighting in my basement.

Seat pan was a bit rough, but after a lot of work it is about ready for the new pad and cover.
I painted this, so not quite as good as the parts I had done professionally, but decent.

Warm sunny day to stretch the new seat cover onto the foam. I made a couple of a sheet metal pieces to replace 2 broken tabs and popped them in.
It took me awhile to actually puncture the vinyl over the seat pan spikes. I can procrastinate with the best of them when I do something like this for the first time.
Progress is slow but steady.
