Looking for piston options other than wiseco. I am reading a lot of good things about wossner but I have no experience with them. Who's running them and how do you like them? Pros and cons appreciated.

Best pistons on the market! Totally changed over to them as soon as they were available, and the only pistons I recommend to my customers.

Wössner pistons are working very well in my H2, even though I cut gaping slots in them.

What clearance do they recommend?

Hey Jim,
did you weigh your pistons before (and after) ?
Just curious, the difference.
Been Pondering about how to balance a Triple

Shane, I probably weighed them, but it's been a few years now and I'm sure I don't have the information, sorry. But obviously you can't cut slots for balance purposes! Usually you can remove a little material from places like the wrist pin boss, if they make a balancing pad there, or the underside of the piston crown. The first time I made my three pistons the same weight, which was around 1979, I had to grind the underside of the crowns of the heavy ones.

The Wossners are great, I just drilled two sets and they were still spot on weight wise.

Jim, Here are a few pics of my Balancing Room:
An Ls9 from a ZR1 Vette. Had to add 200 grams of tungsten to get it to less than 3 grams of imbalance.
I've balanced numerous V8, V6, Inline 6 and 4's.
But never a Triple.
I know that the slots aren't for balancing but, it does change the rotating weight.
