I never figured out the Falicon thing, working through my GS years nearly 20 years ago their cranks were over twice what other very good less know builders were getting :wtf:
Maybe they make difference if you need the last 100th of a second or something.

The welded cranks I've seen didn't have much weld, just a spot on the end of the pins on the outside of the webs to keep it from twisting.

If I were to weld one, I'd do it like in the photos above because I'd be doing it to keep it true through accidental overrevs and other unexpected events.

Yes and the length and depth of the weld matters depending on application
Many of the Suzuki cranks were welded from the factory but some of the early ones the welds were considered a bit weak for drag bike power

If I were to pay 3k for a crank, the bloody thing would come with a CMM certificate and it better be within .0005" total runnout.

I was actually totaly shocked that the H2 crank I got wasent welded :shock:
In the suzuki Gs world that's a big NO NO to not weld them if your shooting for anything over 120 hp or plan on reving it out very often.
But it doesn't seem to be something anyone here ever mentions.
What about the triple drag bikes??? Are they welded?

Welding is really just for all out drag racing.
