Having raced 4 weekends in a row, we took last weekend, the holiday weekend off. Now, it's time to get ready for the next outing.

We are heading to the AMA/Wera event at Mid-O on July 23rd and 24th.

I will run the usual fleet of bikes and Lorraine is focused on the A1R. Old bikes racing, old bikes in the swap meet and a bunch of old triples guys. Should be a great weekend.

Just got home after a completely messed up weekend and flights back.

After starting the bikes on Friday night, the H2R and H1R were sick and the BH with a fixed clutch was making a weird noise. Thanks to Rick, Art and Jeff as we labored through to 11:30pm fixing them.

Saturday showed we had done some good work on the H2R and BH, but the H1R was still sick. I got a win on the Vintage challenge on the H2R, then it started raining and the racing was stopped. Oh well, time to drink beer and hang out with the Brits.

Sunday, after a massive storm over night, the track was damp but the weather was good. The H1R still ran poorly and I got a slow 3rd. The BH ran OK, but not right (too rich) and I got a 2nd.

Then things went to crap. I lined up for a repeat of the Vintage Challenge race from Sat, and the nut came off the H2R clutch on the warm up lap. Then as i lined up with the BH, it started to smoke, a leak in the inlet tract sucking in gearbox oil. Game over.

Lorraine did excellent on the A1R, finishing each race and getting one 2nd behind Roper.

At the airport our flight was delayed 2+ hours because of weather, we missed our connection in Denver, stayed a whole 3 hours in a hotel then arrived in SF at 7am this morning. Dang.

Great to see the Brits, Mosport is up next.

Yup, you are definitely a member of the old 2 stroke Team Kawasaki Road Racing, we had lots of the same stuff, both on the bikes, and travel, happen to us, same-same.
