Just seen this in a report on last nights practice sessions.

David Crussell came off his Superbike at Brandywell in the opening session and was described as conscious at the scene and taken by airmed to Nobles Hospital where it was later reported that he had minor injuries.

From Dave on FB........ Always the racer........ :wtf: ;)

Lorraine Crussell Dave here, that was quite a get off, very similar to the conner crash at the verander, bike lowsided, I slide then bumped over a fence off the road, bunch of busted ribs, shoulder and one vertebrae. Very lucky. It was a darn good lap though.

nother update
Lorraine Crussell Dave here again, think we have the crash pieced together, the medic at the corner stopped by, Brandywell is fast 110-120, the bike seized (I was on the ground before I knew anything was happening) I slid across the road, bumped up the verge and then took out a post at the side of the rod with my back and shoulder, cartwheeled over the fence down the hill and landed next to the helicopter pad. The back protector did its job! If I had hit the post with anything else ......

I was very lucky, if I had hit the post at the side of the road with anything other than my back protector, jez, that would have been a mess.

Slowly healing, broken ribs are painful! Hope to get back to the US next week.
