He is doing great! Still a bit gimpy, but amazing progress.

I videoed the "aftermath" of his crash last year, but didn't want to put it up too soon. He said it's fine, he wanted to see it. The cop and the rescue crew were cool.

A good reminder to take it easy on your first run or so on the dragon. Get warmed up, ride your pace.

Shane said he wanted to see and share my video as well so here it is. In the bottom right hand area of the youtube viewer, click on the little gear (settings) and select 1080P then go to full screen. Give it a little time until you see the gear has changed to HD. You can see the bikes' skid marks right where I parked the RD. I didn't notice until I posted this video that Shane had just missed the vertical post where Evans parked his RZ. The post was marking a culvert. I'm glad you didn't wrap yourself around that post Shane. It would of been alot worse.
Evans and I had fallen back as we were behind a very slow rider and we took our time getting around him. I was ridding a very modest pace but could tell I was catching up to Evans and he had already caught up to Shane. As I came around the corner I saw a rider tumbling down the road ditch and Evans was coming to a stop. Evans motioned to me to control traffic as he went to Shanes' aid. The mini's scared the crap out of me so I moved on around the apex. It took over two hours to get Shane to the hospital.
Notice the fresh center line paint.
