Nice video, could be the Adelaide hills, so similar... I was interested to see the lights on, do you guys have a lights on in the daytime law over there, does it apply to old bikes, and if so how does the old H2 cope, particularly if you have a "modified" headlight?

As I understand it headlights on mc's are required to be on in daylight. I'm not a triple guy put I only have trouble when it's dark with the old Yamaha head lights :D

It's up to the state you're riding in, Rod. Tennessee, which is the state they were riding in, requires motorcycles to have their headlights on all the time. I really don't know if there are any states that don't have similar headlight laws, but I know that some have exemptions for motorcycles made before 1978, for example.

NC requires motorcycles to have their headlights on full time. You just have to choose a decent headlight bulb, like an automotive quartz-halogen, for example, that's something like a 50/55 watt one. Some guys go a little higher, and you can replace the tail light bulb with an LED version to save a little capacity. An H2 alternator is good for around 7 amps (just under 100 watts) at any normal riding speed, so it's not too hard to get it to work.
