Just had contact with Joni, she and some of the family/friends will be showing up at the Gap sometime Thursday, probably in the evening. She would like to get the memorial ride together for Friday to spread some of Dave's ashes at the overlook. She is also looking forward to the "music" (even thought I warned her about the singers....LOL) and they would really like to hear some of the "Danger Dave" stories. They will be leaving Sunday.

Will be bringing Dave's H1 to the Gap although it looks nothing like the green meanie that Shifty had the pleasure of wrecking. Will never forget meeting Dave at his house in Deltona when I purchased the bike and saw the modified 1" rear brake pedal - "I never use it". A down to earth guy with a true love of racing anything on two wheels. He left a legacy of grace and humility to all who had the good fortune to meet him.

Had a song request from Joni....

Heard a song today that made me think of dave, he really liked it, if the band can play it, that would be great, its "simple man" or "simple kind of man" by lynard skynard.

Great song  Not simple minded, but rather simple in one's expectations of life.
