Will there be any prior coordinating of some songs to practice? If so I have a request for Smokestack Lightening! I don't play any instruments but have written some new lyrics for it with a two stroke flavor. If it works out OK could make for cool video music.

A few renditions for inspiration. I had the Yardbirds in my head driving home from the gap last year...

2 Smokestack Lightening

That smokestack lighting
Blowin up in the hills
That smokestack lightening
Come to get those thrills

In the smoky mountains
Lives a dragon road
Slay the dragon on iron horses
Oh the stories told

Chorus
Hear the two strokes howlin
Wailin down the road
Hear the two strokes howlin
Howlin down the road

Chorus
Here they come from miles around
To ride the dragons tail
Here they come from miles around
Ride the dragon’s tail
Gotta ride that dragon’s tail

Check on both of those suggestions. This year is special as we will have a drummer for the 1st time with a full band! :o 8-) We'll also have vocals too miced up and I'll bring lyric sheets. We'll look at playing the popular standards from rock, blues (including Chicago Blues) and R&B/ soul genres. Since I have one of the 2 apt rooms, the large room will be our dedicated Gap concert hall! Chris- please send Jason's email addy and if anyone knows RD Charlie's too that would be a plus. Musicians will correspond via email with a structured plan. I MUST remember to take my ADD meds prior to jamming this year! :problem:

My smoking quit date is this Monday, so the pipes should be working better by May. If you guys let me sing again I promise not to screw up Smoke on the Water :problem:
