Had a good conversation with him. He sounds good, and is already talking about working on his projects. He will be going in for surgery Wednesday. It looks like a year to get back on his feet, as it was one of the worst places to have that kind of damage.

Since he also has fractures in his right hand, crutches are out for now, but he has a wheelchair, which I'm sure he will be wheeling around very soon! ;)

He wanted me to convey his sincerest thanks to everyone that helped out, and the kind words and thoughts sent his way. He has stopped by the board a few times, but can't really type yet.

It was great talking to him, though I think the percocet was kicking in......

Good skill to the Dr's working him over!

Glad to hear he's feeling good, it's a long road ahead, but with a good attitude and good friends, he will get through!!!!

I've communicated with Shane a couple of times this week. He actually is in quite a bit of pain and the pain meds are a pain themselves for him. He and Beth his wife have a tough time to go thru so keep them in your prayers and thoughts.

Thanks John for thinking of putting Shane on the masthead.

The pain meds(2 different ones) didn't do well for me either with my recent knee surgery. I was still in pain and felt awful from them. I think a week and I was done, couldn't take them anymore.

Shane...Man, it just sucks to hear about how bad a beating your leg took. Its going to be a long road (I've been there with both legs/ankles), but just take your time and do what the Doc's recommend. It will heal... just treat it right.

and drink lots of Milk..

and btw, Evans let me peak in the trailer at your Z1 and all I have to say is

WOW.
