The DT was dropped off last night by a lady whose father had past. She found the bike under his house. She said she rode it as a kid and hated to junk it :o . The rolling stock is in fair shape but the engine is locked up. Should be a fun bike. I hope it doesn't take much money to get going.

Wife is mad though-said I'd be doing the mowing for the rest of the summer :| I need the excercise anyway :D

Let me know how it goes, John. It appears to be in pretty good shape! I bought a DT400 last year, just because, and have done some work on it, so I may be able to help a little. It ran fine but had electrical issues. It had been run off-road only, so the guy had taken the battery out (bad idea), which fried all the lamps. Keep in touch, PM if you'd like. Good luck!

The injector oil tan is empty, I just hope the old feller didn't forget to put oil in the tank.

My home PC went down before the DG meet and I'm bringing it back to life today. The mother board failed and I corrupted XP trying to run XP repair from the OEM disk. I lost all my program assoications. My OEM XP disk is like one of the first versions and it has been a struggle getting the OS to be happy. I really should upgrade to Win 7 or 8 but I heard Bill is back to being the richest man on earth so I figured he didn't need my $150 :D I ended up having to format the HD and rebuild everything but it is running better than ever now. I just need to installed my hot video card and I'll be back. I did lose my video editing software :| that will be another 70 bucks please.

I'm not very experienced with Windows, but in the past when I've lost software I paid for, the seller was happy to look up my customer information and send a new key or copy.

I was thinking about checking with Corel to see if I could get a re-load. But then you guys would want a bunch of videos made ;)

I worked on a friends 78 DT400 a few months ago. It was super clean with 1200 miles only.
Good little bike.

Takes a good kick to get going, though. Even with the compression release.

Lisa, worrying about whether Vista or 7 is worse is like worrying about whether the bubonic or pneumonic plague is worse.
