Closest airport is McGhee Tyson airport in Alcoa, TN. Probably could get someone to come get you

Hypothetical question: If I fly there, which is the nearest major airport? Then how would I travel from the major airport to Deals Gap? I wouldn't bring a motorcycle.

I would think Knoxville.

Like Jim said...McGhee-Tyson in Knoxville. We would definitely make arrangements to have someone there to give you a ride to the Gap. It's not far.

If you do make it, one of us will loan you a bike to ride. Hope to see you there.

Not this year Jim, going to Australia for a month (and meet Rod for a lunch layover when the train stops in Adelaide). My neighbor wants to go to the Gap so I have a co-driver. Maybe soon! H2 and DT (plus two minibikes) are ready. Well the wheelie monster needs a new engine I have a spare, blew it up at RB's on John S. dyno.... ha!
