My theory is that the weather forecasts are generally right, but it will do whatever they say sooner than they predict. If they say it will rain Wednesday night, it will probably rain Wednesday afternoon. If they say a cold front is coming in Saturday morning, it will come in Friday evening, and so on. But that is still only good for a few days out...
I will be with you guys in spirit. Post lots of pics and videos so us poor saps who can't be there will at least feel a little of the fun and excitement.

Hypothetical question: If I fly there, which is the nearest major airport? Then how would I travel from the major airport to Deals Gap? I wouldn't bring a motorcycle.

It's starting to seem pretty real.

The key is to lower your standards for what "ready" is.

Ha... one of my most relaxing trips to DG was the year I didn't do any prep at all. I just loaded the two motorcycles, packed my stuff, and went.

4 available days to get things ready, assuming I dont get stuck with OT at work, and and all I have accomplished is sorting the T-shirts. The H2 needs a new back tire and the H1 needs a new seat cover. I have the tire and the seat cover. It's looking like I'm going to be wrenching at the Gap.

Me too... I had to order a radiator for the Gray Ghost RZ last night and it is due to be here Wednesday at the latest. I am still fighting a fuel seep on the RH carb float bowl as well and a loose can on the RH chamber. The other 2 bikes other than cleaning them up are ready. The trailer needs two new fenders installed and one tail light. The truck needs serviced and it takes a whole day to pack all the stuff up and load bikes. My last day of work before the Gap is Wednesday.
