Dates for the 24th Annual Eastern 2 Stroke Motorcycle Meet has been set.

5/7/23 - 5/14/23

Yes, I know that the 14th is Mother's Day. Quick poll among a bunch of guys and the consensus was that better end on Mother's day than begin on Mother's day and ending on a holiday weekend is just a bad idea for Gap enjoyment.

See you all next year!

Sounds good Jeff, thanks. As a bonus, the Minis will be leaving the Sunday we arrive. Their meet at Fontana is May 3rd - May 7th 2023.

My leave for the 2023 meet has been approved. :D :D :D And now that my farming business is winding down no equipment prep for hay season will interfere with getting my bikes ready.

I was telling Georgia that we're past halfway to DG a couple weeks ago.

What's the plan for the farm, Tim? I didn't know things were changing.

I have 51 acres of farm land and 1.75 acres road front with 2 mobile homes on them up for sale. I have been working two jobs since Daddy died in 2012. Small farmers like me are going by the wayside. It is a losing proposition. The cost of fuel has doubled along with everything else but the price of cattle going to market has stagnated. I lost 11K last year and didnt do anything wrong. I just turned 65 and I can't keep up this pace. My job with USPIS is what pays the bills. It has to take priority. So I will be going out of business slowly over the next couple of years or quickly as soon as the land sells. I am keeping the house and shop and 6.5 acres, both houses and all the outbuildings. I have already sold some of the equipment with more to go hopefully in the spring. I am keeping the cows until the land sells or until I run out of hay to feed them in the winter(s). I have enough hay for this winter and possibly next winter which will enable me to keep the land in land use at the reduced tax rate until it either sells or I am forced to pay the roll back deferred taxes and the full rate thereafter. My son has no interest in farming so I see no reason to continue. I have had some interest but nothing has panned out yet. I am meeting with a potential buyer on Friday so wish me luck Jim.

Very interesting Tim... and also sad. That's beautiful land, and I hope you can sell it without too much trouble. I'm 65 in a few days, so I certainly understand your not wanting to continue, especially if it's not making decent money! You know I "retired" earlier this year, and I can tell you that you'll be under a lot less stress when you finish your downsizing.
