They say they are on their website. Also it appears that Fontana Village is reopening under new management Monday, so the restaurant on the deck should be open. You know we like that one. Also Tapoco's outdoor restaurant claims to be open.

For you guys that travel more than one day with your bikes on a trailer, do you typically leave the straps tight with the suspension compressed overnight on your trip or do you loosen them? Thanks.

Chris, I've left the motorcycles in my van for a week with the suspension compressed after the meet, before I bothered to unload them. I've never been concerned about that. I figure if a seal fails it was about to go anyway. I did have a fork seal on my 250 fail after messing around with the front suspension and doing extreme stops to test the travel. It was old and I'm sure didn't have long to go. The load from staying strapped down can't be any higher than when you run compressed air in them intentionally.

Yes, tight! Chuckie and I use the blue straps made by Ancra. They have the soft strap ends that we strap around the handle bars then we use the hook thru them and crank them down . Their rated at 400 lbs each. One on each side of the handle bars then one on each side of the rear frame under the seat. Of course that how we do it on the RD's.
I need to get to bed soon. Good to hear that Topoco and Fontana is going to be open.

As for the restaurant at the hotel, they are open until 4pm. Don't forget Wednesday is pizza and pinata night...

Safe travels,
Charlie

I always left mine tight. I don't bottom them totally out, so they do have a bit if suspension.

I think if I bottomed mine out it would rip the eyebolts out of my van floor.

Jim, I'd totally believe that.

Does the van handle better with a bike strapped in the back?

Not really, but it's not bad. I added some extra leaf springs when I started carrying bikes with it. This one is only a 1/2 ton van, so it was pretty mushy without the added springs. The floor is in good shape, by the way... it's just that pulling the suspension of my H2 to the stops would take a pretty huge force. :)
