Sounds good, Buddy. Today I got a spark plug installed in the DT100's steering tube, replaced a broken mirror stem, and repaired one of the passenger pegs of my H2. I still have a couple little things do to the bikes and then I'll be packing.

Just a head's up. They are in the process of replacing A/C units. There may be some work in your room during the day, but Jud said it's not taking very long in each room.

Last year near the end of the meet I discovered that the steering stem bolt in my DT100 had rattled out and gotten lost. It seems hard to believe, but it apparently did. I forgot all about that until a couple days ago when I was getting it ready. It's an M14x1.25 thread, and I didn't have a bolt matching that. Neither did McMaster-Carr or any of the places like Revzilla who might get it to me in time. As I was searching for a supplier I noticed that O'Reilly Auto Parts showed a spark plug thread tap that was M14x1.25. My jaw dropped... is that the old spark plug thread from a century ago? It sure is! So I picked a spare plug that fits a big block Chevy because of its long thread, removed the porcelain and electrodes, and made a thick washer. Here's the result:

I was setting up to cut the metric thread on the lathe, which is a pain on an Atlas, when luckily I figured out the quick fix.

Yeah, I have the quick-change gearbox, but for metric I have to resort to a box of loose gears and a chart.

Is yours a 12x48" Atlas? Dad got this one in the mid '70s from Sears, labelled Craftsman, to replace the much older one he sold when he got married and wanted some cash. I was pretty excited when he bought it, and when it was going to be delivered I told him to expect everything in the house to be round when he got home from work. I must have been 15 or 16.
