All,
I hope nobody minds, but I did work with several magazines in the past, but has been about 6 months since I have done anything. Anywho... I have been in contact with VJMC North America in reference to providing photos and a writeup to cover this year's event. They were actually VERY interested and have given me the "go ahead" to provide coverage. With that being said, I ask for your cooperation with poses (motorcycle, on the road, etc.) for photography. I am really bad with names so will probably be asking for names and basic motorcycle information about your ride. I may hit a couple of the people that have attended a lot more of these than I have for history of the rally itself as well (for the article). PLEASE... if this is a bad deal and a large group of you all do NOT want this to happen, let me know and I will kill the deal. THANKS and look forward to another great year!! See you in May!

Mike Long

You must be LITERALLY right around the corner from me. I live between Hughes and Wall-Triana, on Mountain View Lane.

Sounds like a great idea John and some of us including myself are VJMC members.

It should work out well. The extra money to all the guys really helps with the trip expenses.

Ummmm, Jim. You have me at a loss. What extra money are you referring to? Let's face it, I won't be paid for doing this. I just want to so this great event gets the recognition it deserves.

Jim's being funny you know :D at least I think he is.

In 2008 the VJMC came to my small home town for its annual national rally. The mayor knowing I had some old motorcycles told me that an old Honda motorcycle club was coming to town. I looked the club up and it turned out to be the VJMC. I was not familiar with them at the time. I joined the club, contacted the president, and advised him if they like me lead their rides around the Ozarks I’d be glad to do that. We have very good motorcycle rides here and a lot of people visit our part of the state to enjoy the riding. We had a hurricane come thru during the visit so we only had a day and a half to ride. I documented their visit with my words and pictures and emailed it to the club. They used my write up and pictures in their magazine. I don’t really care much for large group rides especially with people I don't know and this one was not an exception.

That is a pretty big group of riders. Back when I belonged to the VJMC, I led a couple of rides and we only had 6 or 7 bikes. That's about as many as I want to ride with.
