Well, the girlie bike about once a month belches out some fluid. I took her clothes off to see if I can find where it is coming from. It usually happens at the same time she gets very moody.

Last year at the gap we did the Cherola/Dragon circle and I tried a top speed run on the level ground between 143 and 129 on the Daytona. She ran up ok in 5th but when I shifted into 6th it would not pull up any more speed. I pulled the top to have an inspection and found this. See the crack? I talked to Chuck Q and he advised me to find a pre Daytona head as it would be much easier for him to machine the combustion chambers for the proper squish and CCs for the over size piston. He bored and cleaned up the ports. I'm having to wait until I have a warm day to paint the top end before I can put it back together.

Thanks Barry! Hopefully I will get the Phoenix back on the floor and the RZ up on the lift after I get my farm chores done today. I also have to unload the load of rotten lumber and junk on my bike trailer and get it ready. It is getting a set of Rural King's finest LED lights this year...

I know you keep busy Pard. I'm putting some LEDs on the Kendon trailer too - they make a HUGE difference.
