And if so, do you need a bass player?

Jim,

I would say yes, as Baghdad Rick won't be there. At least at last word..... I don't know if I will attempt to play, but I know Charlie and a couple of others will probably jam.

Rick is still recuperating from hip surgery, so he sends his best for all of us to have a great time. Hope he will make it next year.

Yes....bring your bass and an amp. We still plan on jamming and in all due respect to Rick, if we play load enough, he could probably hear us in Alabama...
Hopefully Jason is bringing his drum set....by the way will Canadian Dave be showing up? he sings... if not, we'll need to get Jim G and Nitrous Carl on the vocals....they're from the original jam.
Also Evans sings good besides playing lead and he can jam...
If there's anyone else who wants to jam...just bring something that sounds like an instrument ie, a 5 lb paint bucket, a long saw, a tuba and maybe even a fiddle and banjo...( we are up in the mountains)....

Safe travels,

Charlie...

Charlie, I happen to know Canadian Dave will be there Wednesday through Sunday in Mark D's apt (Mark has a family illness and won't make it). No drums...Jason can't make it this year.

Yeah...we'll miss Jason this year as well as Rick. Looks like I'll just bring my acoustic and maybe a small amp. Evans bring your acoustic and whatever else you need...we can make it un-plugged this year...

Safe travels...

Sorry to hear about Jason not making it. Amazing how he could drum out any song we came up with.

Evans, please bring an electric guitar! I wrote some special "2 strokes on the dragon" lyrics to Smokestack Lightning and would love to try it out. Maybe even record it for posterity
