Zcars were there the week before us this year. This guy was a member of their group. Crash was at night this weekend.

I read about that after your post, and it sucks. This year in particular I noticed the outside curves with the cliffs waiting in case you mess up, and thought about the consequences. The fact that they were sober and wearing seatbelts really shows what that road can do if you don't respect it.

I have slowed down a bit over the years. The drop-offs with no guardrail are quite dangerous, and awareness is so important. I also don't drive that road at night....

Tom came with gas a few minutes after you rode by. That 400 doesn't get great gas mileage....

They weren't associated with the Z gathering (ZDayZ), which had happened a couple weeks earlier. That event seemed to go pretty tame this year, for a change. I understand they were locals.

After my low side last year I joined the Zdayz group to thank the couple in the Zcoup that turned around to check on me so I still follow their FB page. You are correct it was local guys and the driver was a popular member of their group. They had a large memorial on the Dragon for them.
