Thank you all for the kind words. I still plan to be at the Gap. After looking at it, there is a possibility that I got some chain lube on the tire. I think some excess ran on the sprocket and flung off on the left side of the tire. I had wiped it down with a rag, but maybe I did not get it all. I was very careful not to get any grease on anything except where it goes. Maybe I will heal enough to put the H1 back together before the Gap. It could be the meds talking, but I am feeling a little better this afternoon. Boy, do I hate to cough!

The tires are Duros, exactly like the ones I have ridden on for the last 6 years, except one size narrower (120s instead of 130s that occasionally rubbed the brake arm). I never had any trouble with the Duros. They were more capable than me.

Sorry to hear about your mishap Steve. Glad you are mostly ok. Better stick to the small bikes for awhile. :)

Sorry for your fall but the fact you came back home with the bike let think you and the bike could be easily rebuilt.

Sorry about your incident. I understand a broken rib is painful.

Yep, been there and done that RB.
Still wounded from the two broken ribs at Mid Ohio last year.
Glad you only have pain and nothing that wont eventually feel better.
Most important thing being, you can still make the gap Steve.

Be well

I got the H1 back together. Now I just need to scrub the new off of the tires. I am still hurting some, but just working through the pain. Also, got to get up the nerve to ride this again. I have ridden my KE some. I need to work on my Honda Hawk, but running out of time and working on a wedding.
