Sorry to hear that Jim. Someone on the other side of the Planet knows about your Dad flying Curtis C-46's in Burma during WW2! Sounds like he did a good job bringing up the kids! Respect.

Sorry Jim. Our parents are getting old, and it's something we all have to deal with eventually.

Thanks very much guys. I didn't mean to take away from Eric, I was just noticing that Mark had an interesting point about it being a bad year.

Eric Von Willer passed this year, it was a brain tumor. He was Suziki Eric to me and rode a nice Suki 500 Cafe, black with checkerboard stripe, and then a big scooter the last couple of years. Bob Loughlin wants to put a memorial ride together next year. that will be cool. Eric was a great guy, loved to ride and was always with a smile.

Man, Eric was one of the most sincerely nice guys I have met at the Gap. We shared a house with some other Suzuki guys in my first year up. We called him Eric Von Bonk. He had set his helmet on the ledge at the overlook and accidentally tipped it off. It rolled and eventually started bouncing in these HUGE arcs, and when retelling the story he would loudly exclaim that each hit on the ground was accompanied with a loud "BONK!"

Caught him at a few meets back in Charlotte, always beaming with that huge smile. Rest in peace, buddy!

Sincerest condolences about your father, Jim.
