My first REAL street bike was my H2 in 1978 - not the most optimum learning machine (I'd been riding my DT250 and various other dirt bikes for years). Proof in the pudding is I crashed it on the freeway 6 months after buying it - and several times over the years too.

Barry, you know my first motorcycle of any kind was my H2 in '78. I practiced on it, and passed the test on it. It took me a couple years to have my first crash, but totalling a Toyota was worth the dent I have in my pelvis.

See you in less than 4 weeks!

Hmmm. My first real street bike was a 72 H2 in 1983. I see a pattern here. Not sure what that means, but I like it.

So there are three of us so far - first REAL street bike was H2 (and young in age when purchased!) See you two in few weeks - I'm ready

Make that four of us that had an H2 as our first real streetbike Barry. I grew up on enduros and MX bikes and never tagged one of my small enduros. Found my first H2 at age 19 and it was my first streetbike. It stayed in the shop all the time mostly with trans issues! I sold it four years later and moved on to a Suz R5 rotary and then a Suz GS1100E bought new. BTW, the H2 I have now is not that same bike as it was sold and I lost it's trail many years ago.
