Thanks !! We're right off I 87 at route 11 several hours away from Albany and 6 hour drive from NYC. I have been watching sales all summer and put the reserve well below what I have seen bikes in worst condition sell for ? I just saw one on Evil Bay auction ain't happening here... 141751928450 sell last week for more than my reserve and didn't think it is even close to being as nice as mine ? But some times it's all about being at the right place at the right time ? It's a great bike for the money. At well under $5K ?

Pretty sure this makes us neighbors.just south of you by 9 miles.

Nice bike but if you really look at its rider quality for sure. For top dollar, can't have bent fork ears, wrinkle paint for signal light cover, Cheap pod filter.needs stock air box, missing pin stripe on tail, missing document holder, cracked brake lines, seat foam painted black, incorrect routing the tail light harness, using white tie straps, dull lime paint strip, incorrect grips, no tool kit,
The other bike had none of these issues probably why it brought more money. You really believe it was no where close to being as nice as yours ? Nothing wrong with bikes not being correct or what
custom, but don't expect the same money if your bike really isn't the same. But there are a lot unknowing buyers.

What would a very nice correct original or correct restored late h1 go for? I am not talking what you would pay for it, but on average on ebay.

Yep, I agree. It's rare you see a "late" H1 go for more (LEGITIMATELY) on the ebay.

Really rare to see a real nice one on eBay. Not the usual similar to above. We that have rebuilt these bikes know what it takes to have a good reliable triple. Sure is not buying a 40 year old 2 stroke off eBay that has not been thoroughly gone through the motor and all systems and expect it to run well.

I don't really follow prices all that much but that is what I was thinking.

Big difference $5k original(everything is 40 years old)
show quality restored(everything new or restored, perfect) $7k( probably more into it than its worth)

One you can use as a survivor for looks, the other you can ride, no worries.

Above bikes, the one that sold was better, pipes better on no sale bike. I would rate them a 2.5 on a 1-4 scale based on looks only. Mechanicals are 40 years old on both.
