In time for the new website this new Starfire product replaces the Kawasaki H1d/H2/KH400 stock ignition systems with this one compact unit, less than the size of a pack of cigarettes, a direct plug in replacement for the old units. This new model uses the existing magneto coils as the existing units do, and incorporate a "dwell extender" for better defined spark timing and less reliance on low output or maladjusted trigger coils.
Price is a very low $118us plus the normal $35 postage throughout the world.

Thanks Jan. Just a note to all. The orders so far have exceeded my stock levels! I have dedicated the next week to building these, so I apologise for the delay...all outstanding orders will be shipped within the next 4-5 days.

Dayle,
Stupid question time

So am I correct in your description that the cigarette sized box you offer replaces all the boxes shown on the upper right side of this picture?

Thanks

Answering for Dayle, Yes, and also the hi/lo spd windings.
But it requires a battery. Battery load is minimal, unlike Boyer or Early H1.

No. Sorry, my very poor explaining skills. This model replaces just the CDI boxes, and as the originals, it requires the mag coils to be intact. All 4 boxes on the H2 can be ditched and replaced with just this. On the KH400, it directly replaces the original box, but still requires the H/L coil. I havent had time yet to post the fitting instructions on your resource page yet Dale, but later I will. Because of the H2 ignition coils being grounded through the mounts, I had to come up with this, and during development made it to run on both the Kh400 and the H1d/ H2 as well.... still trying to standardise these a little more. So, if you have a KH400 with a stuffed mag coil, use the ZX2/3. If your mag coil is ok, but CDI dodgy, use this one. If you have the H2/H1d, also use this one, unless you are prepared to replace the iggy coils, then use the ZX2/3.
Hope that makes it clear???
