Dave, thanks for the crank rebuild on my H1. I cant wait to get it running. I appreciate the honest time estimated to do the crank. It was right on schedule and the fair cost to do the job, in addition the tech support you provided. It is refreshing to do business with someone like yourself who loves triples and wants others to enjoy them too. I'll let you know when it's running.

Scott

I took this H1 crank apart and the right rod was locked solid to the rod pin. Not another 10 feet would this bike have gone.
He said he pulled to a stop and the bike shut off and never turned over again. We are going to use all new parts and get him fixed up right away. Note the bearing condition. The crank was original with 4000 miles.

On a separate note I got a call from SmokinJoe today and he has been having great use of his drag bike crank for seasons.
Give me a call for a quote to do yours up the way you want it.
I also have some exchange cranks in stock now.

^^^ Looks like what I experienced in the 70's. Were there rust stains in the area of the rod pin?

The rod is solid with the bearing and pin
Now . I could press it apart if wanted .
Most of these get that black corrosion started
From sitting for long periods of time. This
Starts the wear process which then happens quickly!!

Dave replaced my right S1 connecting rod after I did something stupid to it. He was very nice and didn't laugh at me  He replaced it with a connecting rod he had at a very reasonable price. Super fast turn around time and great communication. Highly recommended. Thanks Dave!
