Ok, Its time that I add a small detail to this post.
My girlfriend happily helped me push the relic through the front door and situate it in the room. Yup, full approval and support from the queen !!!

Your long overdue for an answer Terry!!!
It's an 1837 .69 cal smoothbore Springfield musket converted to percussion during the 1850's by a gunsmith located in Philly(at the time)
From a distance, it does look just like a Trapdoor....Good guess :thumbup:

I've only seen this phenomenon once before.

My parts polisher has one of his bikes in the Living Room.

Wish I could get away with that! Actually, I might. But, I'd end up taking the bikes place in the shed! :eh:

Aha, an MV "Disgusta" 4 cylinder 'Fire Engine', from a company that built a lot of excellent helicopters. NICE STUFF.
