Hop flowers, known as hops, used in beer brewing. I have 16' trellises in my yard and grow them. Did you come across them growing wild? It looks more like someone is cultivating them, and drying them in an oast, in the photo.

We found them on a walk last night. I cleaned them up and dried them.

We're going back now for more, supposed to make a good night time tea and I'm hoping some local brewers would like some.

How do you use yours?

I use them to make beer, of course! :D It takes around 2-4 ounces of very dry hops to make a 5 gallon batch of beer, and they're very light when dry, so it always looks like you have more than you really do. I wish I could find them growing wild, but then there are several herbs that can be found that way, and I haven't.

Now that is a cool shot! I would have loved to photograph my H1B beside a 1970 grabber orange Boss 302. And my '69 (when finished) next to a '66 GT350.
