Get rid of the premix before you do anything else!

We emptied the gas tank and put regular gas in it but it made no difference. Also tried to run it without the air filter.

Maybe the carburetors or the ignition?

4-stroking is a sign of being overly rich. What's the history of the carburetors? Was a rebuild kit installed recently, for example?

Remember, once you get the two-stroke oil out of the tank there is still oil in the lines and float bowls. It takes a while to run that thru.

We have now tested everything we can think of and have nailed it down to the right carburetor. The right cylinder is much cooler than the other two and the spark plug is black.

We moved the right carburetor to the left cylinder and the same problem occurs there. We have examined all carburetors and everything seems to be as it should be. So what could cause that one carburetor to misbehave, maybe it's clogged somewhere?

A black plug indicates that the mixture is too rich, so the problem is not a clog. One possibility is a leaking float valve.
