FRANK TARPLEY UPDATE.....

Visited Frank in the hospital today. He was sitting up in a chair. He seems to be doing pretty good and looks great.
Had surgery yesterday on a broken collar bone.
Has 4 (?) cracked ribs and a slight punctured lung.
I'm sure he's likely bruised up a bit.
He thinks it will be a few days before he gets out of the hospital primarily due to the lung thing.

He was going west from Huntsville Ala on I-565 riding his BMW R90S (?).
He was behind a Comcast van. A car ahead of them decided to cut across three or four lanes of traffic to catch an exit.
The Comcast van and Frank hit the brakes. Frank hit the back of the van but not hard.
Although hard enough to sling him forward to the asphalt landing on his shoulder and back.
The bike is not damage too much. A police officer picked it up, started it and drove it to the shoulder.

Frank said he thought he was very lucky not to get run over by the cars behind him.......

Be safe out there........
