I work right next to the John Wayne airport in So. Cal and all this week have seen and heard vintage WWII aircraft fly over the shop.
One of my biggest passions in life is vintage aircraft so made a call and got a ride. What a thrill.

I did one last year. It was great. If is a foundation operated bomber, its 80% tax deductible. Of course that might change now with the new tax law. If you are an aviation history buff, it is a must do thing.

When I had my shop in Merced, Ca., I was a volunteer at the Castle Air Force Base Museum of Flight. I helped restore, and fly back to Castle, a B29, then restoration work on a U2 spy plane, a British WWII bomber the British came to rob parts off of for the Falklands War, and a few other planes. It was all fun.
