I'm thinking the under-the-spark-plug variety would serve me fine. I'll be racing my H2 this spring and want to keep an eye on cylinder temps. (Doing some more land speed stuff.) I've seen some interesting setups here and am trying to compile a list of decent gauges that might work for me.

TIA

Check with Walms, he has a set of temp gauges on his 4/5 special.

I'm using the TTO sensors. They are nice for confirming carb sync and when to let the bike cool off a bit. they react pretty quickly so you can see the difference from cruising on and off the pipe. Also easily see that different pipes produce different heat ranges.
Max temp recall is also handy for proof when someone thrashes your bike!

EGT and CHT are different. The CHT will not respond as quick as EGT but will work fine for your use. I use EGT in my LSR bikes. I can't remember the manufacturer right now but it has 3 EGTs in one gauge. You could also get a CHT version. I'll go look later today and see if they are still in production.

Do you use three separate sensor gauge combos or do they have a unit for a triple?

Would an EGT be MUCH better than an CHT unit when dealing with running the jetting on the edge?
I suppose with race gas you can decent plug color.

Quite right. I'd appreciate it if you could figure out the manufacturer. Thanks!

eBay isn't the best deal.

For example: http://www.amazon.com/Trail-Tech-Temper ... B0031BIWX2
