Had some nice Works shocks I was going to use, but look bad on the bike being a inch or so longer than stock.
Had another set of who knows what brand pictured, correct length but ride is rock hard. I want to be able to use the stock chain guard. What should I use for my H2 rider quality type bike. Repo's descent ride? Aftermarket ??

Use the 1" longer ones. Mine are 1-1/2" longer than stock. It's a common mod to quicken up the steering a bit.

I like your paint.

Period correct paint.

I will try the 1 1/4 again, running a battlax BT 45 120/90 may ad a little height also, going to get some 120/80 for the next one. I am 6'2" bikes getting a little tall.

I have a 130/90 on my 3" wide Lester. I have to admit the bike is a little tall, but it doesn't bother me a bit. What I like is not scraping things in the curves.

Yeah, but on a mini-H2.

Road it 50 miles earlier on the rock hard shocks, went back to the upside down Works shocks,( only to clear the chain) lowered the preload a 1/2 inch, went out for a 20 mile spin on the the back roads. So much better with a suspension that moves. So much for having a chain guard, not a show bike anyway, what a little more oil showering me anyway.

I have the stock length Progressive (brand) shocks and they seem really comfortable and stable at higher speeds. I've ridden Hagon's and I wish I knew about them before I got my Progressive's

They look nothing like stock but the old Red Wing Hammer heads with an extender bracket works very well for me; especially with the forks out of the triple clamps by approx 1".

Bought the above Works shocks from a member. Had no idea what they cost new. Called works checking on for another bike, over $500

I saw that you can remove the helper spring, raise the preload adjuster, lowers the shocks plus clears the chain guard.
